We were delighted to attend a lunch reception at the House of Lords by Lord Sutherland of Houndwood on behalf of Westminster Faith Debates to launch  “A New Settlement for Religion & Belief in Schools” by the Rt Hon Charles Clarke and Professor Linda Woodhead, both renowned for their research and dedication to religious education in schools. The policy launch was met with eager journalists and faith representatives from across the country. MTO attended on behalf of SACRE Haringey and had the opportunity to discuss with the authors their plans for the future implementation of religious education in schools and the role faith communities would have.
