Students of MTO Shahmaghsoudi® attended a community meeting featuring the screening of ‘The Met’ – a BBC documentary followed by a question and answer session. The panellists included the Borough Commander Dr Victor Olisa, Dr Elizabeth Henry and Enfield and Haringey GLA Assembly Member Joanne McCartney. The local community had the opportunity to respond to the documentary and raise their questions on how to engage more young people, especially from BME backgrounds into the Police; the complaints of BME officers in the Met Police and how the Mayors’ Office is held to account. It was a great opportunity for the community to hear the Borough Commander’s views and confidence in policing in Haringey.
